Recently Opichi hosted an AI education themed Lunch-at-Learn at The Village Workspace in Centennial, CO.
The explosion of accessible development through AI app builders has both empowered and frustrated business professionals. They're able to prototype a tool for their business, but the more a non-techie vibe codes, the more the app breaks.
Opichi's CEO, Courtney Hamp, began by first introducing three AI builders he finds most valuable for businesses. The lunch and learn demo'd Replit, Lovable, and Bolt, giving each builder the exact same PRD generated by Opichi's free PRD Refinery Tool and branding requirements. Attendees were stunned to see the side-by side comparison and how differently the apps interpreted the exact same input. Each app asked different clarifying questions, and once all the lead forms were generated, there was amazement that all three apps had wildly varying results for the lead form estimated numbers.
The session was eye opening and insightful as attendees watched first-hand to understand AI's non-deterministic responses. They listened and learned as Courtney and Senior AI Developer, Tim Allard, shared a shortlist of how to identify these pitfalls that AI builders so elegantly mask, steps to take to make the AI fix them, and safeguards to put in place while continuing to add features and enable rollbacks when AI breaks your work. By the end, attendees walked away with a greater understanding of what incredible things AI is capable of, but also aware of what falsehoods AI is capable of generating.
